The skiing here is nothing short of exceptional. With seamless access to the Arlberg ski area—over 300 kilometres of pistes linked with Zürs, St. Anton, and beyond—Lech offers terrain for every style. Its snow record is among the best in the Alps, with powder-filled slopes that draw freeride enthusiasts, yet its wide, perfectly groomed runs and uncrowded lifts create an effortless experience for families and leisure skiers.
Off the slopes, Lech excels in discreet elegance. Acclaimed restaurants, including several Michelin-starred establishments, elevate Alpine cuisine to a culinary art. Exclusive boutiques and serene spas provide moments of indulgence, while refined après-ski unfolds in intimate lounges rather than crowded bars.

Thanks to the consistent rate of snowfall in Lech, and to a recently developed network of new lifts aimed at integrating the resorts of Lech, St Anton, St Christoph, Zürs, Warth and Schröcken, the area available for skiing using a single ski pass is expansive (the largest in Austria) and the scenery is breathtaking.
The resort has an excellent snow record and if you are looking for quiet pistes and state-of-the-art facilities, then this is the choice for you. Perfect for beginners and intermediates alike with its comfortable, motorway style slopes.
For those looking for a real ski adventure, the ‘White Ring’ is a must. You will find 22km of blue and red runs around Lech, Oberlech, Zurs and Zug, which will get those ski legs nice and warm. In 2017, there was the introduction of the Flexenbahn lift that links St Anton to Lech making it one of the largest resorts in Europe.
To preserve the tranquillity of the resort as it has grown over the years, the Lech resort was the first in Europe to apply a cap on the number of day ski passes issued in peak holiday times. As a result, runs are never overcrowded and more than 350 instructors take classes of usually fewer than ten people.

There’s plenty to enjoy in Lech beyond the slopes.
Whether you’re travelling with non-skiers, families, or friends who prefer a slower pace, the resort offers a range of winter activities and experiences to make the most of your time in the mountains - explore a few highlights below.
Lech enjoys one of the best snow records in the Alps, with consistent powder throughout the season thanks to its favourable position on the northern side of the mountains. The season typically runs from late November into April, with snow depths that regularly exceed the Alpine average. Combined with state-of-the-art grooming and lift infrastructure, skiers can expect excellent conditions from start to finish.
Lech is part of the vast Arlberg ski area, Austria’s largest interconnected domain, with more than 300 kilometres of pistes and 200 kilometres of marked off-piste itineraries. Highlights include the famous “White Ring” ski circuit, linking Lech, Zürs, Stuben, and St. Anton in a single day. The terrain is varied, with wide, gentle runs for families, scenic cruising pistes, and powder-filled bowls for advanced skiers with a guide.
Yes. Lech is particularly well-suited to families thanks to its wide, forgiving pistes, excellent ski schools, and efficient lift system. Beginners and children benefit from dedicated learning areas, while intermediates can explore long blue and red runs across the Arlberg. Families appreciate the calm atmosphere and the quality of accommodation, many of which offer ski-in/ski-out convenience.
Après-ski in Lech is more refined than raucous. Expect stylish wine bars, intimate lounges, and cosy mountain huts rather than loud crowds. Dining is exceptional, with a mix of traditional Austrian restaurants and Michelin-starred establishments that elevate local flavours into fine dining experiences. The focus is on quality, authenticity, and atmosphere.
The nearest airports are Innsbruck (1 hour 30 minutes), Zurich (2 hours 30 minutes), and Munich (around 3 hours). Private transfers are the most comfortable option, and many of our clients choose helicopter transfers directly into Lech for the fastest and most scenic arrival. The village itself is compact and easy to navigate, with ski lifts starting from the centre.

Kinderclub Lech is a great way for the little ones to discover snow for the first time. The kids’ club provides a fun and safe environment for children to get to grips with how to use their equipment, make snowmen, do arts and crafts, dress up and take part in games and enjoy the snow.
The Lech Ski School, for example, founded in 1925, offers lessons taken by professional instructors who are experienced when it comes to the local area and piste conditions. Private or group sessions with reliable and enthusiastic instructors will help build confidence; beginners and advanced skiers alike can hone their skills, whether learning to snow plow or perfecting parallel turns.
